How did they sell the lie? How could they pour snake oil down a thousand throats? The abuser makes such pretty out of all these swollen eyes. The demise, we say, of all the best here in the west. Oh my god! Can you hear the hooves?

I got a letter from the government the other day. I opened it, read it, it said we're all fucked. They wanted me for their army of whatever. Picture me biting my tongue, I said NEVER. I'm supposed to stay subordinate while Harper's thugs rip my prairie apart? Who cares if this poison machine creates jobs if my kids have to wear gas masks to class?
Scorched earth policies only service bottom lines for those who don't have to reap what they've sowed. It's a genocide, winning the hearts and minds. And we choose distraction.
So while the ad campaigns lie about growing the forest, the oilsands are really the new blankets of smallpox. Industry before humanity, the water, the air or the fucking fish. Let them rot at the Tar Island nursing home. Because you can't make me believe we don't have our lips around the barrel.
Enjoy your holiday in Fort Mac. You'll need to tweak to stay alive. It won't matter for long, it's a doomsday trap and the blood on your hands is thicker than oil.
